You don't need a Sky subscription.

It was set up by Sky for those who don't have one; basically you can buy daily, weekly or monthly passes and you don't need any Sky equipment or a contract - it's like pay as you go Sky. Just got to the NOW TV website, purchase a pass, activate it, and Bob's your uncle.

I don't know if you can watch it on a regular TV? I would have thought there is a NOW TV app but I am not 100% - I've always watched NOW TV on my PC.
