There are so many reasons to disagree with what you’ve written above. But it’s late. All I will say is that you first wrote it off as ‘lazy’, and now it’s gone to being ‘stupid’. Which suggests to me that there’s at least a part of you that knows there’s a point there, and feels uncomfortable about it.
