And the reason that became an issue appears to have been the long contracts without reductions on relegation.

Committing to it for a year doesn’t seem a risk and to be honest it’s not that much more than our top earners will be on and the club can justify it because he’s on loan so it’s not like they’ve offered the player those wages.
