They have repeatedly said that if there was potential investment which they judged to be in the best interests of the club, and from somebody who shared the values and vision then they would listen, but that has not yet happened.

No, they won't be listening to a Russian oligarch, a Mike Ashley or a representative of an oil-rich state.
