You're right.

I grew up in Basingstoke, went to a religious school, watched youth services deteriorate, had friends in dire poverty, worked a apprenticeship in which i was underpaid and eventually had to leave my family, friends and life and move to the midlands due being made redundant twice in a year. additionally the house prices in basingstoke made it un-affordable to buy let alone rent and therefore it's almost certain i'll never be able to return to my hometown.

The only difference is i don't blame the government. I believe you must make your life how you desire it to be because no one else will do it for you.
