I went to look at a van near Ipswich many years ago.
Place was hard to find so I'd arranged to call the bloke from a telephone box when I got nearby (pre mobile days). Got to the phone box with the wife n kids' in tow and the bastard had sold it. For the next three months if I got called out on the fire engine id call him at all hours of the night and hang up when he answered. Didn't achieve much but made me feel better.
