They’ve generally been really good so far in this comp and Pakistan’s batting can be very hit and miss. Get a few early wickets and NZ will have the upper hand.

Slowness and turn in the Edgbaston pitches not ideal for England, mind. Can see more batting pain ahead v India on Sunday. I’d be tempted to play Roy even if he struggles to run - even a quick biffed 50 would be an improvement on the low scores of the useless Vince
