I hope you are right but I just find it hard to see our club turning down any bid in

excess of £20-£25 million for any of our players except maybe Pukki.

I know what the financial situation is, I understand our philosophy and I am realistic about matters but I can't help find Archant's repeated daily bulletin from Webber about how tiny our budget is a little bit depressing in a summer after we've just got promoted. We have young players worth probably a hundred million we can sell if we end up getting relegated again. Holding on to them for a season and perhaps supplementing them with a couple of quality signings should not be too much of a risk. last time we came down we didn't really have any players of a similar value and obviously we aren't going to go out and sign players like Naismith again because that would juts be idiotic.
