I've listened and watched her for over 20 years
I first became uncomfortable watching her when she presented 10 O'Clock live. She didn't fit in and it was difficult to watch her trying to be a saturist or simply trying to be funny. It didn't work and the show wasn't on for very long.
I was fine with her doing the 10-1pm on 6 music and listened every day for about 5 years. She has a good taste in music and the show had live bands/guests. That's fine, that's what she's good at.
But...... Just like the 10 O'clock show where she was out of her depth, she has adapted a new persona for her morning show on 6 music, and she is acting completely different to the 10 years previous on 6 music.
She's taken on this "we're all in it together" personal coaching theme. After every song she's saying things like "hi everyone, hope you're okay, you can do it, I know you can"
It's really cringy. She's decided to morph into this character like she has done in other ventures and I don't like why she feels she has to when she's presented other things normally.
So I think at times she's a bit of a fake
