continue to ignore the will of the people? If they didn't know before (or want to know) they will indeed know now that the sway of public opinion is fast gathering momentum against Mr Worthington. In fact it is cancerous!
Delia and Michael felt obliged to make a lengthy statement which they hoped would serve to ease the situation but their regrettable naivety has simply fuelled the fire to the extent that the situation has now got out of hand.
I have to inform the Club's Board of Directors that the problem of Nigel Worthington (and that is what he has become) is NOT, repeat NOT, going to go away. Far better to recognise that now and take appropriate action immediately instead of leaving the situation to fester causing long term damage to the Club.
Sitting there with your hands over your mouths, ears and eyes is not going to achieve anything. The fans are right and you are wrong. Swallow your pride please and do something about it!
