Cuban immigration service understands the situation and won't stamp your passport - they give a tourist card instead so no US authority will ever know.
Worth going for at least a few weeks as there's nowhere in the world like Cuba.
Only independent tourism though as all package holidays will put you somewhere where most Cubans can't go
