The realisation that we couldn’t use Oliveira. That meant replacing him and luckily we found two capable strikers, one of whom has been exceptional. If that hadn’t worked...

Then the game against Cardiff. Having been easily beaten by them at the end of the previous season, we outplayed them with our reserves, several going on to play major parts in the season. I think even Sir Denis, given time, may have been fairly successful.

I’m optimistic most of the time.
