Worthys son was out amongst the demonstrators filming it, would he have done that if his Dads head was really on the chopping block?
Worthingtons reactions to the winning goal also indicate that he knew too well he has the backing of the board, would he have really given the gesture to the Snakepit if his job was on the line. Plus he also gave a big thumbs up to Delia up in the Directors box when the final whistle went.
He knew, and knows too well that he has their unwavering support.
I fear for NW, Delia and MWJ if Worthington fails as this public backing of the man could really backfire on them.
