1. The balance between attack & defence is THE thing that is difficult to master, and few manage to. You *could* recruit players specifically to improve defending at set-pieces, but at what attacking cost?

2 Most goals conceded can be described as 'soft'. On Saturday night I expect the Blackburn Jim was blaming poor goalkeeping (Stiep) and lazy closing-down (Vrancic)) for their defeat. Goals happen!

Let's see how the recruitment takes shape, safe in the knowledge that we all think we can better!!
