To be fair if you’d been asked which manager would be most likely to take a
team newly relegated to the third division, with few saleable assets, small home crowds and a very small budget with which to execute the necessary clearout, and get them promoted within a year and maybe even get them back to the premier league which name would pop into your mind?
Not surprised they believe in a man who has done it before with their neighbours.
