League One is a bit mad these days

On the one hand only one of Sunderland, Pompey and Charlton look set to struggle into the chumps. All three are not small clubs and at least two are very likely to be in League One next term. Bradford are going down and most of us have been there watching Norwich draw or lose. Coventry were better than us for some time and are not going to get into the chumps.

On the other you've got my local team Wycombe - I'm really really really trying not to say "bless them", but they're not big and not clever - the Iron, Shrews, AFC Wombles - honestly a lot of clubs I feel warmth and a general wishing of well towards. There's Gillingham - a schoolfriend is a massive Gills fan so I always look out for their results. Fleetwood - is that a services somewhere?

And next term there'll be Lincoln. Can't quite remember how I heard of them recently...

I really hope Exeter make it up through the playoffs. My future-ex-wife is from there and though any soft spot for her is obviously long gone, I retain a soft spot for the area in general.
