Well, to be fair, we budgeted for relegation (and blew the budget by buying Ashton ...)

But it wasn't really that we got relegated that rankled so much as the way we went about it from the very beginning. As noted many times, we only really started playing when rock bottom when Worthy as a last hurrah threw Safri and Helveg (and Bentley but he had been injured) into the mix. I suppose we had a mini-run just before Christmas when, if I recall correctly, Helveg and Saffers played in the the middle.

I know you know all this, MP, but worth pointing out anyway ...
