I just saw possibly the two most contrasting back to back survival programmes ever

first up was a pair of clowns on Naked and Afraid in Nicaragua.

The guy caught dengue within the first day or two and had to be airlifted out. Then the woman got such bad sunburn that her skin was literally sloughing off. She lasted a week, but then had to get shipped out due to hypothermia.

Then came Ed Stafford in the Romanian mountains.
First day he failed to light a fire and was a bit cold.

By the end of the week he was dressed in a deerskin smock and having a 3-course meal of toasted grasshoppers, followed by roast venison with blueberry sauce and a dessert of fresh blueberries by the light of tree sap candles
