ago taking a dislike for Michael Moore not because I disagreed with some points he was making but because he was so crass and shouty. At the time (about a decade ago) I understood that he had to be because crass, dumb and shouty are the only people who would be listened to by the people he was trying to influence.

And here we are only ten years later and it’s the same in the UK
