Changing a winning team
I think that Farke has changed a winning team (other than for injury) 5 times this season.
(1) We beat PNE 2-0 in August; for the next game (Leeds) DF dropped Tettey and Marshall for Trybull and Thompson.
(2) We beat Forest 1-2 in October; for the next game (Villa) DF dropped Onel for Emi.
(3) We beat Villa 2-1; for the next game (Brentford) DF dropped Trybull for Tettey.
(4) We beat Brentford 1-0; for the next league game (Sheffield Wednesday in November - a much-changed team having narrowly lost to Bournemouth in the cup in between these two league games) he dropped from the Brentford starting XI Steepers, Cantwell and Rhodes for Vrancic, Onel and Pukki.
(5) We beat Wednesday 0-4; for the next game (Millwall) he dropped Vrancic for Steepers.
So in October/November, he regularly made tactical changes to a winning team. Since November 10th, I don’t think he’s changed a winning side once, unless forced to do so by injury.
