2nd series clearly set in 1985 - and I'm not relying on the infallibility or otherwise of Wiki, as the final episode has Live Aid going on in the background.

As everyone knows, the red & blue piper logo is synonymous with the 90s not the 80s, running as it did, from 1991-2003.
It's precursor, the big blue dotted T in a circle, with the full name underneath it and coiled phone flex leading off the M, ran from 1981-1991 and so is synonymous with the phoneboxes of the 80s.
