I dreamt that I got sent off against Ips**t last night...
(and by 'last night' I of course mean this morning ...and by this morning I of course mean yesterday morning, now that we've passed midnight ...and by yesterday morning, in all likelihood I probably mean yesterday afternoon)
I wasn't playing for Norwich but I was an ex Norwich player playing for an undisclosed team. We weren't playing at a professional ground it was a pitch of the same standard I play on now for the vets. The pitch sloped in one corner towards the changing rooms & clubhouse a fair bit off in the distance. We'd lost a good few balls that had rolled down that little hill, so myself and a few players from both teams had paused to retrieve them mid-match. On my return I passed one ball back to the opposition keeper only to be red carded by the ref the moment I reentered the field. H erefused to give any reason so I had no choice but to leave the pitch aggrieved. I demanded a reason from him after the game (no idea what the score was, I think I just 'cut' straight to that point) and he said something like I got everyone worked up too much.
Make of that what you will... *shrugs, Partridge-style*
