Germans and the lack of a sense of humour myth

Dispelled completely the other day. I was on a flight and the bloke in the row next to me had a Cat in a box on the seat next to him. Behind me were a group of German squaddies. Anyway the cabin crew are doing the old safety briefing and it comes to the bit about the "in the event of a loss in cabin pressure a mask will drop down from above your head, adults should ensure that they put on their own masks before attending to any children" and this German lad says "Vot about ze Cat?".
