It really is absolutely crucial that we do not f**k up over the next 3 or 4 games

A decent return from those games and with the games Leeds and Shef U have then we should have some daylight. Once it gets to the last 5 or 6 games both side have similar run ins or if anything theirs are slightly easier given the unpredictability of the likes of Stoke and Villa who do both have good players regardless of the fact they only turn up occasionally.

This next 5 or 6 games is our big chance.

As for Leeds they obviously are suffering from only having Bamford as a striking option who has certain qualities (in a side playing well particularly) but I would not put heart and ability to get stuck in when the going gets tough at the top of the list.

The other interesting angle is whether their drop in form is the usual Bielsa having burnt them out in the first half of the season or there is also a link to spygate. It seems one hell of a coincidence that since Bielsa has not been able to obtain secrets about the opposition team selection and formation their results have dropped off markedly. I tend to lean more towards the former (we for example set up exactly how we always do so spying would have made no difference) and despite their win the way they laboured to victory over that incredibly bad Bolton side encouraged me last week.
