But historically when we’ve given managers time, things have improved. Bond, Brown, Stringer all needed some time. Walker was unusual in that things went well straight away with Robins and the emergence of Sutton, but as things have changed in the last 20 years, managers’ spells have been shorter. Worthington was given some time and eventually... it was pretty clear that Grant and Roeder were a bad move fairly quickly. As for Neil, maybe results would have improved, but maybe for him it was the right decision, he’s admitted making poor decisions and maybe a change of clubs was necessary. Anyway, each case is different.
