I can answer Joni Mitchell and REM
Joni Mitchell - Blue is her masterpiece, Hejira is my favourite. Hissing of Summer Lawns and court and Spark are generally highly thought of, Night Ride Home is a good later record.
REM - New Adventures in Hi Fi is my favourite, while Document, Lifes Rich Pageant, Green are great early records that should be prioritised. Monster is their attempt at scuzzy shoegaze, Up is their first album without a drummer and is a bit electro and Reveal is a gorgeous, summery Beach Boys style record; all three are underrated gems. Automatic for the People and Out of Time are generally seen as their classics but I’m not overly in love with the latter, though both are good in their own ways. Absolutely avoid Around the Sun and Accelerate.
