Since the last time…
U18s progressed to 4th rd of FA Youth Cup but there they lost to PNE (0-3).
In the league there was a 2-1 win v Reading (Omobamidele, Barnes) and a 0-2 defeat to West Ham.
New recruits came in the shape of Kole Lambert (a striker from non-league) and William Hondemarch (midfielder from Drogheda)

The U23s have been far more active, as follows:
Wolfsburg (Cup) 2-2 (Olive, Spyrou)
Sunderland 1-1 (Spyrou)
Reading 3-4 (Spyrou (2), Idah)
Villa 2-1 (Thorvaldsson, Spyrou)
Spurs (Cup) 2-2 (Idah, Thorvaldsson)
Leicester (Cup) 1-1 (Keller)
WBA 2-6 (Payne, Idah)

Ant Spyrou was recently nominated (by opposing managers) as Player of the Month. He was not in the squad for last night's game v WBA and, some have suggested, he may have travelled with the First Team to Leeds.

By my reckoning at least ten of the 23-man squad were out-on-loan or injured (or both!), and so they were ‘lent a hand’. New recruits in January were Gassan Ahmade (from Spanish junior football), Akin Famewo (from Luton T) and Nick Hayes (a GK who had been released last summer by our friends in Suffolk)

* A rough & ready list
Out on loan - Abrahams, Aransibia, Bloomfield, Johnson, Mourgas, Odusina, Power & Richards (Tampa Bay, lucky chap!)
Injured / not available / long-term absent – Fonkeu, Jaiyesimi, McIntosh, Phillips, Thomas
