Why can he leave for free now unless we are letting him go to save wages?

If he can leave for free why are the two clubs negotiating as there is no price to be agreed.

Any wages would be between Pinto and his agent. Surely we would not agree to pay up his wages or a chunk of them to help out Ipswich?
