They'll get thumped by the better teams

They're a top 8 squad, maybe top 6, who are so used to being top 2 that it'll take a few years (maybe more) in the wilderness to reset expectations and then maybe they can get a manager who will bring them a modicum of success.

Pochitino might be their best bet, he can construct a side that meets the fans expectations of how to play, but he hasn't shown he has the steel to win stuff.

They'll never be as successful as they were, because the competition is ahead of them.

Ole doesn't have the tactical nous to beat the top teams. He's had a simple run of games and cheered them all up. But I can't see him being the answer longterm. He bought a tonne of crap at Cardiff and got them relegated. Constructing a top 5 side is an art and requires patience.
