If he was recovering from a 'digestive system ailment' would it be reasonable to expect his energy levels to drop toward the end of the game?

For anyone feeling down, if I had said at the end of 2017 we would now be in an auto promotion place after a year of exciting, free flowing football with four academy players in the side you probably would have said I was delusional.
