....the most important and for that reason I think it has to be. But in every other respect I agree - Apollo 8 did far more for Space travel than Apollo's number 10-17. Just had a look to see who was on Apollo 8 - Jim Lovell - see Apollo 13. Lovell never set foot on the moon but probably did more for Space Travel than anyone else....
