So, Our Youth Policy Is...
Get them in tall, fit and strong and hope you can teach them to play football-but if not, hey they can always be the understudy for Andy Hughes...
...where-as it used to be get them in talented, skilful & with loads of potential and hope you can build up their physique and fitness a bit-but if not, hey, look at players like SWP...
It just gets worse and worse. And you know what REALLY bothers me?
We'll scrape a win tomorrow, "...we're not ruling out the play offs..." and lots of spin on how 500 people demonstrated against a "winning team" and "how many of them who went to that meeting were cheering the lads today?" accusations all made to portray us in a bad light.
Fuck, if I could give up football I really would. But it eats into your soul. At least we have one-it would seem certain managers and board members lost theirs years ago...
