Maybe I remember it wrong, but he essentially moved to left back after a couple of

weeks because apparently even an attacking midfielder at left back was preferable to Husband (I concur) and then got dropped entirely when Lewis emerged.

I honestly didn't expect him to be around this year and certainly didn't expect him to be starting in midfield when our squad also contained Buendia, Hernandez, Leitner, Cantwell, Vrancic and McLean!

But yes, he clearly was playing out of position and I totally understand that, and understood it at the time. Glad we kept him. Speaks volumes of his attitude that he's developed to the performances we see this season.
