Actually, isn't it to do with diet?

cows, pigs, sheep, etc. are omnivores and dogs, wolves, bears, etc. are carnivores.

The Vietnamese eat just about everything and for the most part their cuisine is excellent, but I do balk at snakes and dogs and various insects.

But I do have some very nice "weasel" coffee - the beans have first been, er, passed through a weasel before cleaning, grinding and packaging
