Well I think you might be right that the board are extremely stubborn...

And are in no mood to change their mind. However, I think its hoping for a bit much for people not to protest. I think there is quite a proud history of protest movements changing seemingly intractable attitudes - in much more serious situations. If people are suffering they are going to protest.

The problem with the board's attitude is that if they appear to be set against the wishes of the fans, and in such a confrontary way as Roy Blower, then it is not just the manager's head that will be called for. The first signs of it are already there.
