A similar story to Chris Tremlett
His dad was a Hampshire regular of my generation (Tim's dad had also been a professional at Somerset). Chris was always injury prone and left for a change of opportunity, his career eventually petered out with repeated injuries soon after he made his England breakthrough.
Happens a lot to quicker bowlers, I'm afraid and, while better than they used to be, I don't think county cricket salaries allow for building up much of a next egg for retirement.
