Did start a longer version, but basically I suspect (and hope) that Lambert was a pioneer
in English football (at our level then) during his spell with us, with the background in German coaching methods, but has since been overtaken as much of the rest of the league has caught up or overtaken.
A bit of a lower league Mourinho so to speak.
