I still love Russ. Just happy he's not on the field for NCFC any more. I think he just

kind of went on a bit too long. Actually I think it started when he was playing really well at right back for ages but then had to fill in at CB and did an OK job, and soon after essentially declared himself a CB. Many managers the constantly kept him in that position and we all know how that turned out too often. And the sad thing was that from doing that it seemed to also negatively affect his performances at right back when he then played there later. That is fairly obvious of course if you switch your entire practice schedule to CB rather than RB.

But he was a great servant, lovely man (I think) and also played really well for us for 3 or 4 years.
