the funny thing...

is that by saying the only way to remove Worthy is to make him walk, he is effectively encouraging people to make the atmosphere at the games ugly enough to persuade Worthy to do just that. Since we know we can't rely on the board to do it howewer much polite persuasive pressure we can apply.
