I can't help thinking...

that if we had used our transfer budget to build a team that could keep the ball (i.e. first priority should have been replacing such technically inept players as Flem & Holt) and play to a proper shape with at least 4 proper midfielders (thereby playing Premiership football not lower league kick-and-rush) we could have stayed up comfortably because WBA, Palace & Sainst were rubbish. I know the relative financial resources make it difficult but we could at least have TRIED to do the right things. There's enough Prem football on TV that there is no excuse for not appreciating the difference between it and Championship football (which Worthy doesn't seem to have done)
