I will always pay to watch a game if I have that option

I don’t subscribe to anyone’s sports package but if someone showed all Norwich’s games it very likely I would.

No one does, though, and that’s the issue.

What’s sold is The Premiership or The Championship As one cohesive product with the choicest games shown.

But I’m a Norwich fan. I want to watch Norwich matches. I don’t perceive The Championship as one cohesive product. I view it as the setting for the narrative of my team. It’s that narrative I want to follow.

I don’t rebroadcast streams but if there is no legal way to watch a televised Norwich game then I will use any stream to do that.

The music industry is much maligned for its Luddite attitude to copyright but they realised the truth that you absolutely have to have a legal offer alongside copyright enforcement which in turn helped spawn Spotify, Deezer and myriad other then-novel ways of consuming music.

The sports industry is yet to have that Damascene realisation and until it does I feel no shame at all in watching my team the only way health or physical location allow. If I can pay I will and do. But if I can’t then all options are open.
