A lengthy analysis (warning: lots of words)

Reading down the board has made me get my thinking cap on and for what it's worth here are my thoughts on the present situation.

We are all far too well aware of the nutritional deficiencies inherent in traditional choices such as white bread, sausages (which carry the additional threat of N-nitroso compounds and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons which are almost certainly carcinogenic) burgers and so on.

Healthier choices abound: activated kombucha, for example, will be familiar - even intimately so - to many wrathers; and who doesn't start the day with a smashing bowl of rehydrated dessicated kale and nettle combobulation?

More intensive luncheon options are available. I'm quite certain everyone reading this would just love to sink however many of their teeth still remain to them into a deconstructed balsamic-foamed goat tofu sashimi wrap - carefully dipped into a salted caramel glaze and finished with liquid nitrogen and blowtorch. Blitzed kimchi poured through an out of date taco into a recently-vacated oyster shell provides the perfect accompaniment.

Staggeringly, however, none of these dishes is yet available at the local 'spoons. Or even in my house.

A careful analysis of all-causes mortality leads one to the staggering conclusion that none of us is getting out of here alive. We are all going to die of something. On that basis, and the presumption that generally in life it's better to leave one's options open, I think some cheese on toast (no reggae reggae today so back to the classic tobacco) washed down with Twinings Earl Grey will have to suffice.

I trust this is a sufficiently sesquipedalian exploration of options for a light luncheon, and that it adequately answers questions as to my own choice. Given the apparent mood of the wrath this morning, I felt a more developed exposition than usual was required.

Oh - the football? Yeah, we all know. Dunt blah.
