Lux Corporate tax rates are higher than UK rates
Possibly more susceptible to base erosion, but certainly not what it used to be. Amazon have a huge bill as a consequence of the State Aid decision and Lux has generally cracked down.
In any case, sales in the UK are via the UK branch of the Luxembourg company and as such profits are taxable here.
The global tax system still has its flaws, but it’s much better than it was and will continue to improve.
