There is a lot of promise in our attacking play and Marshall and McClean look good.

What worries me is it all being undermined by the defensive frailties because although “individual” mistakes happen us defending like this is not a one off and if we are not careful we will have a lot more games where we dominate but end up losing or drawing. The marking from crosses in particular is a real issue when we play a back four. Brum didn’t create much but if you look at the highlights from last well they had two or three free headers that were reasonable chances.

The half time thing I suspect comes from a more “measured” German approach but it does seem to me that we are consistently sloppy and off the pace for the first few minutes of the second half on a regular basis.
