Oh to be in England,
Now the season’s there...

Can’t quite get my head round the season already starting, it’s far too hot, far too sunny and far too soon... I’m not back until 18th so I’ll have to keep up with several games from Croatian and Italian locations. I’m going to have to convince Mrs WY to go back to mid-July holidays as I can’t really be “on holiday” when City are playing.

Read all the ACN articles and listened to the pod on the beach today to get me in the right frame of mind but it still feels a little surreal. Haven’t seen any friendly games (was in Germany 10 days too late) so can’t decide from the online clips and the feedback on here whether I’m confident or not.

Can’t see us beating Brum as we have a notoriously bad record with season openers away from home. I’ll be pleased with a draw and some good performances from the newbies. Hopefully we’ve managed to score a few and win before I get to the home game against Preston... hope the new pitch is worth the wait!

Anyway, time for another little local beverage as it’s still 27 degrees in the night!!
