the Home Grown rule may hurt us this season
(which is ironic, considering our aim to be developing through the Academy)
We currently have 15 HomeGrown in the first team squad but only SIX who I think will be regulars (Jamal, Hanley, Marshall, Thompson, Cantwell & Rhodes)
And while it is easy to name other 'English' players for the bench the reality is that they would be an inferior option
[example; Oxborough for McGovern; Aarons for Passlack; Godfrey or Raggett for Stiepermann; Morris for Srbeny)
With this in-balance already in place why would we be recruiting a GK from overseas?
