but he just didn't really get into the right areas often enough, and then, when he did have a few chances in the last couple of games, he pretty much fluffed them; the reasons for all of that I don't suppose we'll ever quite know - and it may just be a bit of bad luck - but the best players were taking games by the scruff of the neck and dragging their teams forwards - he wasn't in that class. I haven't seen enough of him to know/even guess whether he ever will be.
