Trouble is that his flirting with certain views has become

less flirty. He's not helped himself in recent interviews unfortunately - but is a target for some media who lead the conversations down certain paths to then recoil in horror at his comments which are possibly misunderstood or deliberately taken out of context. However- he could put that right by clear and simple clarification (if he so wished).

He's passionate views on the treatment of animals I fully get - some of his others quoted comments are harder to defend (and as a huge Smiths and Morrissey fan I would dearly love to....)
