You’re right, when I visited last year the owner was sitting in the

cafeteria at the end, eating battenburg and drinking tea. I asked him where I paid and he said to just put what o thought was suitable in the Tupperware pot on the counter.
At which point I expected a bulldog to run out having been startled by a Hawker Hunter flying overhead, pilot tweaking his ‘tache.
