On (1), we are operating in different markets
when selling we can afford to take the long term view and take slightly higher fees for longer payment periods
We are buying from clubs who will need the cash more urgently.
It's also easier to stagger payments when you're spending £11m on a player than when you're only spending £1-2m
All comes down to what commercial leverage the respective parties have
